Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Popular California Coast
A chopper soaring near a well-attended coastal coastline suddenly started spinning wildly, eventually dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers looked on.
Videos posted online capture the helicopter beginning to twirl above the shoreline then falling near the edge of the coast, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on that day.
Three persons on the road were hurt. Specifics on their injuries were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.

Officials said the helicopter was associated with an yearly “Cars and Copters” charity gathering planned for the following day.
